Diagnosis

Diagnosis means both 'examination' and the 'conclusion/result of an examination' correct?

Hi, Broadly speaking, that's true. I'd prefer to say an examination to identify an illness, disease or other problem. Once the problem has been diagnosed, I may have further examinations that do not include attempts at diagonosis.
