Diadem

Is the crown which women, especially brides wear in weddings called diadem as well?!

Thank you very much

so the only difference between Crown and Diadem is that Crowns are made from metal and Diadems can be from leaves, etc !?

Hi,

Both can be made from various materials.

( eg The Bible says that Jesus wore a crown of thorns. )

Rowena Ravenclaw had a diadem. I don't think I'd ever encountered the word in usage (as opposed to just a vocabular word) before hers.
