What are the differences among these words: devour, gobble, gulp, gorge?

I think there's an element of greed in the word "devour". Or am I wrong?

Doesn't gulp usually come with that big swallowing sound????

devour can have a sense of greed in it, but not always. Like "The monster devoured the child" (post halloween Emotion: stick out tongue) does not
