Devoted to come in

Hi teachers,

I heard the sentence and couldn't make out the whole.

"They devoted to come in a living sharing everything with each other for the common good"

I think it is "devoted to coming ..." but how do the rest of it fit together?

Thanks

TN

Me neither.

I'm guessing it was something more like "They devoted their income to (something) ...".

It's impossible to say without more to go on.
