Details/descriptions

I need a more delicate way to finish a description without overusing words. This is what I have thus far and I was wondering if someone could find a way to say something like "casting a redish orange haze across his face" without using red and orange again:

"...The dragon stood and stretched great red and orange wings. The bright summer sun filtered through the thin membrane casting..."

All help is appreciated. Thanks.
