Despite vs in spite of vs even though

Hi,
Is there any subtle difference in meaning between the three terms even though, in spite of the fact that and despite the fact that? Are they always interchangeable?

eg

You keep making that stupid noise even though I’ve asked you to stop three times.
You keep making that stupid noise in spite of the fact that I’ve asked you to stop three times.
You keep making that stupid noise despite the fact that I’ve asked you to stop three times.

Even though he worked hard, he failed the exam.
In spite of the fact that he worked hard, he failed the exam.
Despite the fact that he worked hard, he failed the exam.

Thank you very much.
