Despite Having p.p ? Correct ?

Question)
Mr. Monzori's store will need additional stock, despite ________ a shipment just last week.

It is said its correct answer is "having received". Ah~~~ I couldn't understand why they have made this strange question.
As far as I know, we use a noun or a gerund with despite of preposition. So if they really want to teach us for the preposition of "despite", its correct should be " getting" or " receiving". The best answer looks "Obtaining". Doesn't "having received" look a present participle ? Could someone here explain it to me a little bit ?

Thanks in advance.

The gerund also has a perfect form, using the auxiliary verb "have.".
