Desperate

Context: A person is not sure what the decision will work. Finally, he took any dec ision.

He took/made a desperate decision.(Especially, There might be something solution to the problem)

Is "desperate decision" suitable here?

Decision collocates well with lots of adjectives:

- a wise decision

- a snap decision

- an unwise decision

- an important decision


A desperate decision makes total sense to me.
