I'd like to confirm that in the following sentence...
Lisa stacked the dishes neatly in the cupboard.,
that the word 'stacked' is an adjective?

I know it's the simple past, but I also thought that it describes the dishes: the stacked dishes.
You know, I think there are many mistakes on various websites proclaiming to 'teach' English. This confuses me all the time.
