Description of work done

Hi teachers,

Could you correct the following sentence? Thanks

Re: Renovating work progress in suite 20

I am putting forward some subsequent modifications to (in?) Suite 20 over last weekend, based on on-site observation(s), and the construction company has already resolved the issues on the spot with their contractors. As far as these issues concerned costs could ultimately passed on to you.

1. Air duct disrupting the design of the planned light troughs.

This issue arises because of the position of the existing main air duct deterring the original plan, in which the main air duct's length was understated and misjudged by your designer. It cannot be modified given that the substantial costs being involved, and possibility of much needed approval from /of management office was also one important issue in the decision we needed to consider. The workers, instead of pulling the work progress to a stop, decided to cut the original lenght of the both light troughs by 30 cm, which is tolerated, to not overpass/cross over the main air duct. ( The solution to the problem was to shorten the length of the light troughs up to the air duct sitting horizontally and to shorten the opposite light trough to achieve resonating balance. )

2. Protrusion of one of the light troughs at/in corners of the two walls.

The jutting out part comes off obvious and conspicuous and would significantly undermine the aesthetic issue around the office. The construction workers made a judgment call to eliminate the appendix by concealing it with additional gypsum boards and light troughs in order to avoid the awkward angle. Details on this part of work have been shown in the attachment file no. 1

3. Exiting light switches postion in/at the showroom

The 3 pieces of original light switches (originally) placed one after another horizontally would be blocked when/by the time the cabinets start being moved into the showroom, considering the height of them is very close to the height of the cabinets. The crew has come to terms that relocation of these switches in one sigle file vertical position would make an overall difference over the accessibility of the switches. We’d like for you to decide if we should go for it. Please refer to the attached file no.2

4. Mirror relocation:

The original plan was to relocate the mirror with its frame to the other area of /in the office. However the fixture had the fixing screws to the wall with silicon sealed, which was impossible to dismantle the frame. On this issue, the crew had to blaster the mirror in order to unfix the frame. Please advise if there’s a need to order in a new plane of mirror for this reason. The original parts with the bar frames are intact.

You could expect a move-in date in the beginning of next month.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Clive,

Thank you. I really need to pay more attention to the punctation and the determiner.
