Description

Hi,

I have a doubt on description in certain sentences.

I went inside a room dark and empty.

I went inside the room, dark and empty.

I went inside this room, dark and empty.

Is is true that while describing in the end, the comma practice varies according to the article we use? In #1 we use 'a' so no comma. In #2 and #3 there is a comma.

Or is this just a matter of style?

Warmly,

JJ

Normally you would say "I went inside a/the dark and empty room". "I went inside a room dark and empty" feels like an unusual or poetic style. Your other two sentences don't work.
