The film depicts the relationship between orphan girl Tina and 5-year-old twin boys Thomas and Jimmy. When Tina learns that her orphanage is facing closure, she fears a life without her friends and caretaker. So she calls for Thomas and Jimmy to appear and talk to her. Through the power of her imagination and some stardust, Thomas and Jimmy come to life as their animated selves and make her laugh and vow to help ease her worries. The movie also introduces rocker Bon Jovi as the comic relief turned hero.
