Describing about two people or things

Can I use one of... and another one, when I describe about two person or things.

I have two friends, one of them(or the friends) is a musician, who play guitar wonderfully, and another one is an artist, who draw amazing art that no one have ever imagined.

A man has two electronic gadget one of them(or the gadgets) is a tiny instrument that can be use to measure parameters such as height, width etc, and another one is a medium sized machine that can be used to count the number of books in the shelf.
