Describing a battle

I'm uncertain if this is the right place to pose my questions regarding certain issues I wish to clarify, but I guess I'll give it a go. Does anyone know how to vividly describe a battle scene in which there are:

-sword clashes
-injuries
-emotions
-passers-by
