The given line graph shows the changes in birthrates in some countries between 1970 and 2005. It can be clearly seen that there was an overall downward trend for all four countries during the period.
At the beginning (1970), the average national birthrates was over 12 children per 1000 women for Sweden and 17 ones for Australia. Since then (1970-2005), this decreased gradually and in 2005, this stood at 10 and about 14 children per thousand in these two countries.
Meanwhile, in the first few years (1970-1990), population and family planning in Vietnam and China gained great. In 1970, the average national birthrates were 25 children per 1000 woman for both those two countries. In 2005, however, China had a birthrates of only about one children per woman while this was about 17 children per women in Vietnam.
Comparing to the three countries, the birthrates in Vietnam were high and fell slowly. In order to reduce the high birthrates in our country, education in family planning would need to be increased.
