Located in the northern part of Thanh Xuan District, Nguyen Trai is one of the largest and busiest street on the outskirts of Hanoi with an endless variety of shopping and entertaining activities.

The street is densely populated during a day. In the rush hours, the two main arteries converge into a muddle of vehicles, from trucks, cars, buses to motorbikes. On the road, there is a chaos created by the deafening noise of hooters and engines together with dust and exhaust gas. At the bus stops stand groups of people waiting for buses, while countless hordes of pedestrians stream along the pavement.

Regardless of a great number of garishly, colorful advertising boards and panels of shops and restaurants competing for space on the two sides, Nguyen Trai Street is also the place in which Vincom Mega Mall Royal City is located. It is a modern and luxurious underground shopping center and entertainment complex. Hundreds of visitors and locals flock to Royal City per day not only to see the charming, elegant all-white interior design, but also to experience numerous indoor and outdoor recreational facilities.

Being not far away from that, Phung Khoang market is a bustling gathering of roadside stalls and food vendors that attract a large number of local residents and students from nearby universities. It offers anything from fashion items, handicrafts, souvenirs to street cuisine with surprisingly low price. The market buzzes with the hum of voices and laughter while the air is filled with the smell of food and spices.

Without doubt, the most noticeable feature of the street is a great bustle and hustle. It is an ideal place, which is not too far from the center, to hang out with friends on the weekends.
