DEPENDS ON vs COUNTING ON

Depending on or COUNTING on

1 The time you get here depends on what means of transport you take./depends on the means of transport you take.

2 I was depending on/counting on your email to tell me what time my meeting was.

Could you tell me if this makes sense?

3 If you get outplayed as much as you whine than you should stop playing because from what I've heard your whining is constant.

Thank you

If you start whining every time you get outplayed you shouldn't play at all.
