a. I would like to secure this booking, contingent on your answer to the below question.
b. I would like to secure this booking, depending on your answer to the below question.
Are both of these correct?
Am I correct to say that b is incorrect because 'depending' requires two outcomes and in this example there is just one outcome - securing the booking.
Is there a better way of saying this? Thanks
