Dependent clause

We move down SE Asia to Phuket, which I'm very excited about, because I have heard of great day trips that can be done, which will occupy us for the five days we spend in Phuket.

Is the adverbial clause underlined modifying the relative clause?

how can this sentence be improved?

Thanks

" tells the reader why you were very excited. As to improving the sentence, I think the easiest and best way to accomplish this is to make it TWO sentences: We move down southeast Asia to Phuket. I am very excited about this because I have heard of great day trips that can be done, which will occupy us for the five days we spend in Phuket.

  • If you have to make ONE sentence, you could say: We move down southeast Asia to Phuket, and I am very excited...

As to improving the sentence, I think the easiest and best way to accomplish this is to make it TWO sentences:

We move down southeast Asia to Phuket. I am very excited about this because I have heard of great day trips that can be done, which will occupy us

Thanks a lot.

We play that game here, too, although it is not dark here, so it’s not that scary.

Would you say 'so' is joining the first sentence (which is made up of a main clause and an adverbial clause) to the main clause that follows?

Hi 1b3,
I'm not an official English teacher. In other words, I am not an expert in defining the types of clauses. I can tell when something 'sounds' wrong but can't always say why.

As I read your sentence, it was clear that 'so' is the connector between the middle clause and the ending clause. The first part is an independent clause, "We play that game here" and it can stand alone as
