Hello all!
I work for a company that is regularly hired by the DOT to be a Quality Assurance tester. Sometimes the wording of the DOT books are loose which allows some of the specifications to be interpreted differently by various readers. Today I ask for a clarification of a single sentence. The sentence is as follows:
"Delete the first paragraph of subsection 601.17 and subsection 601.17(a) and replace with the following:"
The wording and punctuation is exactly as it is found in this project's standard provision. In my opinion, this is telling me to delete the first paragraph in subsection 601.17 and ALL of the subsection 601.17(a) and replace with the following. However, could it be argued that it states to delete the first paragraph of both subsections?
Your help is much appreciated ![]()
