1) He denied going to Vegas and talking to John.
2) He denied going to Vegas or talking to John.
Which means that he says he didn't go to Vegas and didn't talk to John?
Which means that he says he didn't go to Vegas and talk to John? (maybe he talked to John on the phone or maybe he went to Vegas and didn't talk to John)
