Delivery of/the delivery of (omission of article)

I found the following sentence on a UK site.

"If delivery of your parcel is not attempted by our courier the next working day, then we will refund you the difference!"

I found the following one on a different UK site.

"If the delivery of your order is more urgent, we also offer a next day delivery option, either by Royal Mail Special Delivery or via City Link Couriers."

The use of "delivery of" and "the delivery of" again confuses me.
Is the use of the definite article before "of-phrase" optional in the above cases?

Thank you for your comment.
These sites are UK sites, and it seems that the articles are written by native speakers of English.
That's the reason I posted this question.
