I'm not familiar with the phrase "delicacy shop." What sorts of food would you consider to be delicacies? Fancy chocolates? Candied gingers? Fine spices?
I'm not a huge fan of Google for confirming usage, but there are a few thousand. The only one I saw for the US dated to 1917.

The thing is that 'delicacy shop' as a combination does not occur in any of the 400 million words of American English, and these corpus results point to the rarity of this combination.
