Deign

Hi.

What does deign mean? my dictionary fails to provide a clear definition for me. would you please give me some example, so I can understand it better.

It is considered synonymous with condescend and patronize but I think they are different, tell me if I am right.

Thanks for your time and help

Thanks Mister Micawber for the examples.

If you want to give a definition of deign in your own words, what would it be?

Thanks
