Self esteem is your opinion of how you feel about yourself. People have either high or low self esteem. People that feel good about their selves, have a positive attitude, like the image they portray and confident have high self esteem. High self esteem does not come natural it is learned and it starts young as infancy. When giving positive words of encouragement and constructive feed back it promotes high self esteem.People with low self esteem have negative views on life, no confidence,gives up easily. They also mistrust others and feel unloved. People with low self esteem are depressed, unhappy,and this affects marriages, relationships with families and job performance. It is important to have good self esteem because it gives you the power to believe in yourself and love you for the person you are.
