hi teacher am curenlty writing a defination paper of a good student and i need a teacher to read my paragrahps and help me make some correction. in terms of thesis statment and vacabullary, and so on.. here is my essay....

The Definition of a Good Student.

As for me and most people the qualities of a good student starts at heart. As to most people the term ‘student’ is anyone who goes to school, college or university to achieve a certain goal. Historically, the term of a good student referred to any individual that behaves well and also makes good grades. Nevertheless, there are more to being a good student then just behaving well at school and making good grades, such as being able to gain information and analyze it without having to wonder. Being a good student requires a lot of motivation and determination. However, for me the definition of a good student is often more than just behaving like a prince or princes and making exceptional grades. Instead, for me the term ‘student’ refers to someone that learns and develops academic skills, perspective, and understanding skills.

For many a good student is someone who makes good grades. As the greatest intelligent Thomas Fuller, M.D states “zeal without knowledge is fire without light” what will the making of good grades define if the student doesn’t learn anything he or she is thought? A good student learns. He or she learns to intelligently gain information and analyze it in a proper manor. Furthermore, a good student doesn’t complain or make excuses about the work that is been given to him or her. Instead, he or she is eager to learn new things. Nevertheless, a good student does things without being told; for example, he or she reads assignments that is due the next day or studies for upcoming quiz’s or tests. However, an intelligent student always seeks for ways to discover new things and opportunities to learn new information that’s what make a student a good student.

Academic skill is an important skill that one should grasp. In order for a student to be considered a good student he or she should acquire the ability to read with comprehensions. When I say a good student develops academic skills I am referring to the great use of resources such as the library or other types of resources. Additionally, applying information or thinking logically is a plus of being a good student. A student that has academic skills should be able to read, write and communicate effectively.

A good student does more than just acquire information. However, a good student has the ability to gain new information and to critically evaluate that information and use it correctly and effectively. A good student has learning skills. In other words, a good student is able to obtain and understand information without being explained to them. He or she independently break down things and put it on their own words. A Chinese proverb once said, “He who asks questions is a fool for a minute; he who does not remains a fool forever”. With that been said, a good student asks intelligent questions and seeks for help. When someone or a professor is giving a lecture, a good student easily understands and no longer need everything spell out for him or her.

Some people might consider someone who reaches a goal a successful good student but, what really completes a student is their perspective. A good intelligent student has the potential of taking information and applying it to the real world. A good student understands information and the intended meaning of complicated passages. A good student also thinks critically and logically.

Today’s students are tomorrow leaders, and presidents. In addition, their quality clearly determines their future and loyalty for others. Being a good student requires the following things academic skills, perspective and learning skills. The listed skills are what make an individual or a student a good student. If one wants to improve their quality of being a student they should consider developing these skills. This skills can work for any individual that is acquiring to gain useful knowledge and use it not only in school when out of school also.
