I know what while doing something or while something is happening means but I do not know why and as a result of this is added behind in the definition?

According to the definition of the word in by Oxford advanced , it is just while doing something; while something is happening. Could you tell me why Longman dictionary added and as a result of this and what it means there?

Thank you so much as usual in advance.

Situation (In all the confusion) -> Consequence (it is quite possible that some people got tickets without paying) The second phrase is a consequence of the situation. So it's quite correct the dictionary says "as a result of" They aren't random coincidences, which would (incorrectly) be something like "In all the confusion with the tickets, a meteorite hit Jupiter" d

Here they are all three (in, while, when) entailing "as a result of".
However, for when and while it's the context that tells you this.
You could have had,

While trying to protect the queen, Howard was thinking about what he would eat for supper.

When he was trying to protect the queen, a meteorite hit Jupiter. (If you don't have the 'he was' then 'when trying' likely exp
