Hi,

Do you call floor lamps "furniture"? What about "mirrors" or "closets"?

Would you tell me the tiniest and the largest thing that you call "furniture"?

I would not call floor lamps furniture. I would classify them under lighting. I wouldn't quarrel with someone who wanted to call them furniture though.
I would call a floor-standing cheval mirror furniture. Other mirrors might be part of a piece of furniture, but I wouldn't call them furniture in their own right.
A free standing closet (wardrobe/armoire) is furniture, but a built-in close

For all practical purposes, assuming it's removable and can be transported to a new apartment or home, it's furniture. If it's permanently attached to the walls, it's a fixture, not furniture.

No, I would not classify those as furniture. When I call the moving people to come and get my furniture, neither they nor I think that the kitchen cupboards are to be torn out and transported to my new home!
