Definite articles correct?

Hi. Some time while back, I think I was looking for some wise sayings or proverbs or clean jokes (I can't exactly remember which one I was looking for) online and I remember finding something interesting and it went something (pretty much) like this.

A warrior in the bar is a coward in the hospital.

Is the definite article before "bar" and "hospital" correct?
