Definite article necessary before the phrase?

Hi. Is the definite article "the" needed before the phrase "Korean language" in this example sentence?

When you are here, you will have an opportunity to learn Korean culture and the Korean language.

Also, is it correct to delete the word "an" before "opportunity" and is it clear from context that we're talking about Korean in "Korean laguage" and it would be correct to leave out the word "Korean" before "language? Thank you in advance for your help.
