Definite article before these kinds of words

Hi. Please help. Is it possible to have a definite article before words like "wisdom" and "news" when a post-modifying phrases like "from above" or "from outside sources" is present?

eg,

He tried to attain (the?) wisdom from above.
(The?) news from outside sources wasn't as useful.

I don't think the "post-modifying phases" determine the presence of the definite article. "

I don't think the "post-modifying phases" determine the presence of the definite article. "Wisdom" usually doesn't take the definite article unless the wisdom has a dispenser:

"He tried to attain wisdom from above."
"He tried to attain the wisdom of ***."

"News" is likewise unmodified if it just means information; modified, if it's specific or if it refers to "official" repo
