Hi, what is the difference between the two? Should I capitalize Sports Day for number 1. Thanks, Fulvio

It seems clear to me that "Sports Day" is a special day of some kind, just like "New Year's Day". So that's its name, just like a person's name might be Robert or Elena. We don't use 'the Robert' or 'the Elena' because the name itself specifies exactly who we intend to refer to. The same is true for holidays o
