I wonder why this sentence has no "the" before "transoceanic cable." Is that sentence natural?

In that case, would you say you would NORMALLY find them capitalized when seeing them in print form? I would think that when you have names of business groups and/or parts of those business groups, you would have/treat them a

No, no, no! Capitalization makes it a proper noun. A proper noun is a word that refers to (represents) only one entity in the universe. There is only one entity in the whole universe that Believer refers to! That's why we capitalize it. There are many trans-oceanic cables, not just the one that goes from the USA to Britain.
