Many people tell me that definite articles is optional in these situation, but I am actually still don't get the subtle difference between them.So that I am in confusion if I should use "the" or not.
Note that no residents or students or people or doctors mentioned before.
1. Do you know that (the) residents of Hawaii/ speak English?
2. (The) students in this school are nice. I think that I will let my son to learn there with them.
3. (The) people in my country/city are nice, you should visit my country one day.
4. (The) doctors in X hospital are nice. You should choose this X hospital to cure your illness.
