Vocabulary

Defense / Defence?

Hello everyone,

Just a vocabulary question. What talking about military defense/defence, is one spelling "better" than the other?

I searched on the Internet and ti seems that both spellings are correct but one would be American and the other British. Is that right?

Thaks very much

S. The dictionary says defence is British. So if you're writing for an American audience, use defense, and for a UK audience, use defence.
