default

Hello,

I would like to know if word combination "default of project" is ok. Because as I know default is rather used in the meaning of "failure not to pay". Here it should mean "failure not to fulfil the project".

Thank you!

I know this doesn't address your question, but "failure not" is something of a double negative. "Failure not to pay" means you did in fact pay. Get rid of the "not's".

  • "Default of project" seems fairly straightforward to me.
  • I hear it as a label, rather than as part of a sentence.

Thank you for drawing my attention to the "not's". Of course there must be no nots. Probably I was just overtired.

As to the "default of project" I cannot find it in google. It seems to be not that common. But probably not wrong.

Thank's anyway!
