Deep

Someone shared an article on social media and described it as "deep". What do you think they meant?

I can think of three things:

They thought it was intense.

They thought it was difficult to understand.

They thought it was intellectually demanding.

Thanks

" It might mean "intense" (in the sense that it is thought provoking) but that is rather informal usage. As for "difficult to understand," I doubt it. People don't usually say something is deep when they mean that they are having a hard time understanding it.
