Deemed worthy?

Hi, is this correct in a letter to the editor of a journal?

«We hope that these revisions improve the paper such that it will be deemed worthy of publication in your journal.»

Thank you!

Anonymous such that it will be deemed worthy I cannot fault the grammar, but the phrasing is old-fashioned and now generally considered rather stilted and insincere, I think.

Thank you Mister Micawber.
But I have been told that we should be formal and show how very grateful we are for having been considered for publication?
Don´t you think that in the context of a scientific journal this would be appropriate language?
Thanks.

No, not in this century. I suggest something like this:

We hope that these revisions have raised our paper to the standards of your journal.

I'll use your suggestion.
