Deduce, infer, make an inference

Hi,

“You can infer the economic optimum from the graph.”

“You can make an inference about the economic optimum from the graph.”

“You can deduce the economic optimum from the graph.”

Which one is the most natural?

The second sentence sounds a bit stilted to my ear.

Thank you.

I was always taught that deduction meant arguing from the general to the particular, while inference mean arguing from the particular to the general. Which do you think best fits your case?
