Decided to went to the picnic
I have a question about the following sentense.
"After just one word from our father, we decided to went on the picnic last Sunday."
I think "decided to went on the picnic" should be "decided to go on the picnic."
When I Googled for "decided to went," however, there are many pages using this phrase.
Is this correct or at least a common way to say "decided to go"?
