Debate convo

At the time of interview I was told that I am/have been recruited as accountant, after recruitment I was told that there is no such post as accountant in a school so it is changed to cashier, now I do my job as cashier also I take lessons as a teacher now I am confused about my designation am I a teacher, an accountant or cashier it's very hard to determine, now when I go somewhere people or passerby whom I know often ask me which position do you work in/as in that school. Then what am I supposed to tell them a teacher an accountant or a cashier as I have got no definite answer so I stay quiet and walk by.

Is that paragraph grammatically correct, it's a part of argument I had with school managing committee, when I asked them to give me a proper designation according to my work and the job I do. So please help me to correct my grammar especially tenses and correct me.
