An increasing number of people have left rural area and move to cities in search of job vacancies. In my opinion, this situation can lead to many social and personal problems. The government and the whole society should accordingly take measures to prevent the negative effects of this trend.

First of all, the current issue is highly likely to pose devastating and far-reaching consequences on the whole society, particularly the urban areas. The massive influx of people into cities will contribute directly to the plight of overpopulation in these parts of the country. Consequently, cities will suffer from the rise in unemployment rate due to the high demand of jobs. In addition, as people commute more, greater environmental problems such as air pollution will be inevitable. Moreover, the government will have to face tremendous difficulties in providing citizens with public services such as education or medical treatment. As a result, living standard will undoubtedly be lowered accompanied by personal adversities. Furthermore, rural areas will have fewer chances for development as driving force behind their economy has opted lives in the city, which also leads to many national inequalities.

In view of unavoidable effects of this trend, the government should take steps to counteract the issue as soon as possible. One way for them is to focus more on the development in rural areas by introducing more investment plants and modern technologies to raise living standard as well as improve the economy. Education and medical service should also be readily available for people through the construction of schools and hospitals to ensure they have a comfortable life. This will effectively lay the foundation for developments in the countryside and directly reduce the number of people moving to cities. Additionally, the government should help people be aware of potential risks awaiting them in the overcrowded cities so that they can act wisely.

In conclusion, the number of people moving to large and busy cities from agricultural background will have many adverse consequences on the society. There are, however, many viable solutions for the government and citizens to address this issue.
