In recent years, the family structure has changed, as well as family roles. What are the changes occurring? Do you think these changes are positive or negative?

Over the past decades, family structure has never ceased to draw public attention and provoke debates. Although, the development of society impact considerably to family structure, the issue as to whether it also causes some detrimental problems to those family and should people keep this or not remains controversial. The following essay will explore how it benefits to families and what are the problems people have encountered

Firstly, it is important to recognize that the rapid development of society has exerted economic pressure to many families, therefore the tradition of culture that women are home-maker and men are earner is out-of-date. Many may argue that female is qualified in taking care of family and children than male. This argument could be true to some extent however they should take into account the fact that nowadays there are many services can support us and the increase in income also help us to access to those services easily. The more people in the family working the more income they can earn. For example, by importing of western culture, gender equality is contributing to the evolution in thinking and created more double income families which help them earn handsome income. This example indicates that the change in family structure not only help the family adapt to contemporary society but also contribute to the development of the national economy.

Secondly, it is undeniable that the evolution in the thinking of changing family structure have caused detrimental problems to many families like the argument in teaching children, deciding the person who should do domestic duty. The opponents may argue that the advantages of importing oversea culture outweigh the disadvantages. This argument is reasonable, but they are ignorant of that fact that the rapid development and importation from foreign culture could lead to the broken happiness of many families like divorce or separation because of opposing opinion and differences in thinking. For example, many people have grown in the traditional family with old thinking and it makes them hard to accept that alteration of new culture. This example indicates that, although the change in family structure can benefit to families and society however it still exists much inadequate thinking and many people can not accept it quickly, promptly

In conclusion, I affirm that people should consider those changes in family structure is acceptable and as complementary factors to the development of society. However it should be taken into consideration wisely, thoughtful
