Dear teachers of thought, I would like you to correct me please if I am wrong with these lines. regards

The Change
The old woman standing barely on the heap of twigs and bushes a few minutes ago was gone and now a large-bodied beast was placed in her body instead. He approached the wall, bounced self off from the heap with an unexpected agility, and jump on the wall. Upon this view, I was surprised and frightened very much. So frightened I was that I was confused and instead of running home I did just the opposite and I fled to the road with all my strength, and started running down the road through its opening to the street, I wanted to reach the bridge at the end of the street. This was the mistake I made of my life!
