The given bar graph compare UK citizens in terms of trips they take to foreign countries for 4 reasons, namely holidays, business, family visits and some other purposes from 1989 to 2001.
Overall, the amount of people travelled to other countries mostly because of taking holidays. People who travel to visits their family increased overtime while the number for business and some other purposes decreased from time.
In 1989, people who went on vacation in foreign countries took up the largest amount compare to the other 3 purpose, which is 30 million trips. From then, it kept rising and in 1998, it reached it peak at 50 million trips. Since then, it declined significantly and till 2001, it had decreased to 39 million trips.
For 3 other purposes left, 2 of them which are business and some other purpose that people had at that time kept steadily rising to 1995 at 10 million trips and 8 million trips but soon followed a downward trend till 2001 which is 9 million trips and 2 million trips. For family visits purpose, it went on a upward trend and till 2001, it had reached the highest amount which is 12 million trips, bypass business and other purposes.
