Letter Writing

Dear teacher, I would like to know your opinion about this letter. Thank you so much in advance.

Dear Mr. Eric Gill,

I would like to express my interest in the PhD position in "Linearly implicit methods for simulation" inthe AH research center, in [sity] , In [country].

I am particularly eager to apply for this PhD position, because it is consistent with my academicbackground and my interest. The first and most important irritants that motivates me to apply for thisdoctoral program is my expertise in numerical analysis. Thanks to the rapid progress and success in theMaster's degree, It is clear that studying and researching in this field is one of the efforts I want to domore.

While studying for my BSc in Mathematics at the *** University in [country], I took a course in NumericalAnalysis, which motivated me to continue my studies in this area. Thereafter, I was admitted to the*** University, [city] branch, for my MSc in Applied Mathematics- Numerical Analysis. Since Ifound a strong interest in numerical simulation and solution of problems in the other fields, especiallyin physics, with using Mathematical algorithms, and found it is very important and exciting, I have donemy Master's project in physics area. My Master's thesis under the supervision of Dr. Rab, was on"Using mathematical techniques for solving Fokker-Planck equations", and I successfully completed. On the other hand, courses such as NumericalAnalysis, Advanced Numerical Analysis(1), Numerical Methods for Ordinary Differential Equation, and Numerical Solution for Integral Equations, with excellent grades, which are prerequisites and completelyrelated to linearly implicit methods, gave me deeper knowledge to do your project.

Doing a PhD project at the Inria department is an opportunity that I would like to dedicate, wholeheartedly, and I hope to contribute to the scientific community in the best possible way while I amin [city]. So It would be great honour to be able work in a research environment and academicenvironment under the guidance of eminent professors, especially Mr. Gill.

I am eager to gain new experience, improve my skills, and expand my understanding of linearly implicitmethods, and a PhD project in this area can be quite effective. I strongly believe that my academic background and my deep concern in this field of research have made me a very good condidate to dothis program in the best possible way and I will be able to meet and even exceed your expectations. After completing the PhD, I intend to pursue a postdoc in Numerical Analysis.

I hope this letter provide insight into my comment to my learning.

Thank you so much for considering my application.

Yours sincerely,

Mari Mi

I thought you were applying for Bayesian sampling - I gave you a lot of feedback on your earlier posts. I will only highlight the most severe errors. Your letter is not very convincing.
