The reporting period, NTS organized a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop on leprosy in the Training Centre, BBC Hospital from 18 to 20, April, 2015. This consisted of two parts: Theory and Practical.
28 participants (26 male and 2 female) were participated in the workshop from 5 districts. It was a mix of participants from both the Govt. and NGO sectors (16 from Govt. and 12 from NGOs). The distribution of the participants were Field Coordinator - 1, Program Organizer – 3 and TLCA - 24.
Respected Civil Surgeon of ....... district inaugurated the workshop. He thanked and welcomed all participants and appreciated NTS for arranging the workshop. Dr. ..... and Dr. ..... facilitated the sessions. A mix of methods were used for the workshop i.e. power point presentation, discussion and explanation of theoretical and practical aspects, question and answer.
Pre & post test were taken to assess the knowledge level of participants. The improvement of knowledge of the participants from the first day to the last day was remarkable. Average percentage at pre evaluation mark is 2.48% and post evaluation mark is 8.36% out of 10.
At the end of the session, all participants were asked to evaluated the facilitation course. In general the participants were satisfied with the program.
