Teaching Speaking by Using Pictures and Dialogues Method for ESL title

- introduction -
We all already know that English is a language that has been used as an international language of communication. It is currently taught as a foreign language. By learning English, people are able to converse each other even they are not a native in it. For instance, if two non native English speakers want to communicate, it's likely they will do so in English. So that English is essential to be learnt. Reading, writing, and also speaking are three aspects of learning the language. Speaking is about using our mouth and vocal cord to make that people understand it as language. Yet, it is often the most important and difficult aspect for ESL.
Perhaps, speaking English is the hardest part about learning English as a foreign language. Because speaking is deals with having self-confidence to express what on their mind in their second language, it can be hard for students who do not have an enough self confidence to speak in the class. Thus they are inclined to be silent and be reluctant to speak during the class.
In the case above, what the student need is an interesting ways of learning in class to grow up their confidence. Teacher who is rigid is not allowed to teach in this aspect. He or she should have novelty and innovation in the way he teaches. By using pictures as a media and also by giving a chance for students to make a dialogue and show it in front of class are an effective ways to enhance their ability in speaking English as a foreign language.

It's interesting that you left out one skill, the most important one - listening. If you cannot understand what someone says, there can be no communication at all, even if your speaking is perfect! Dialogues are good at a beginning level, when students don't have a lot of language yet.
