I am writing in response to your advertisement for the PhD position in Computer Science at the University of xxx.

During my bachelor study of Computer Systems at the University of xxx, I have worked on a project to develop a program for the calculation and optimization of the xxx Power Stations. Programming/analytical methods and calculations were the main tasks I was dealing with. My master study was focused on the speciality of Informatics and Computer Systems. In particular, I studied “Applied Computer Systems” by using the theory of Computer Aided Design Systems. As master thesis I wrote a program for students to carry out virtually practical work in the field of Automat Management. This program allows conducting and proofing the practical exercises directly on the computer. In parallel to my study, I have worked in the Computer Center xxx as a senior specialist for more than one year. The scope of my work was the installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of Operating Systems and Servers.

Currently I am working at the xxx Medical University in the Department of Educational Technologies. I am responsible for providing software and IT technical support at the university. Moreover, I take care for the maintenance of technical devices, by controlling and repairing them periodically. Last year, I was providing technical supervision for Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging devices at the xxx . In particular, I was responsible for the cooling systems of both medical devices and gained valuable experience in the work with CT and MRI.

I also participated in some projects in web development, there by I gained profound knowledge in programming, advanced web technologies and databases.

My education and work experiences has provided me with valuable insights needed to perform research and develop prototypes that use Web Portals. ?????????? I am highly motivated to improve my knowledge in this discipline. The offered PhD position is an excellent chance to further specify my knowledge and career in Web Portals.
