Dead or alive

Are these sentences correct:
1-I will not go back to Tombstone without him, dead or alive.
2-I will not go back to Tombstone without him, whether dead or alive.
3-I will not go back to Tombstone without him, either dead or alive.

The last part of the sentence is supposed to modify 'him' and not 'I'.

Gratefully,
Navi.

navitasan The last part of the sentence is supposed to modify 'him' and not 'I'. It does so in all of them, but only because of common sense, not construction.
